George Bizet: Carmen

Watched this famous opera under the organizing of Warran Mok. He is the Artistic Director of Opera Hong Kong. After he joined, we have more chance to appreciate great version of opera with great casting. Like this one, the stage design, costume design and the production are magnificent. Let alone the performance of Lea Woods Friedman (relative of a rich guy in HK) and Warren Mok. Yet I still cannot totally accept his exaggerated acting.

The Opera nite is the most glamourous one I ever had in HK. Many well dressed ladies and gentlemen and many local celebrities. May be jsut because it is sponsored by LVMH and a program of French May. So that's why it brought a lot of non-Opera lovers. Like the one sitting next to me. She nearly fell into sleep on my arms. :p
